The Hideaway Cottage/Braverman Estate lies in the foothills of the Anahola Mountains, which are a beautiful backdrop to your tropical hideaway. It is located on 1-1/2 acres of lush vegetation, including mature Monkeypod Trees and a large pond. An orchard of banana, orange, lychee, and avocado trees furnishes our visitors with fresh fruit when in season. Bantam chickens, ducks, cardinals, shama and mynah birds fill the air with song.

Immersed in nature, yet only minutes away from world class golf, tennis courts, riding stables, boat trips to the Na Pali Coast, hiking trails and miles of incredible white sand beaches. The cottage is only a short walk to Anahola Beach and Lagoon. Kauai’s finest shops and restaurants are just a few miles away.

The cottage sits on the grounds to the main house occupied by furniture designer and artist, Tomas Braverman and his wife Kiyo, also an accomplished artist and sculptor. The entire estate was conceived, designed and built by the hands of Tomas, who has devoted his life to creating masterpieces in wood mostly, for Hollywood's elite.

The spacious, open plan cottage is fully furnished in tasteful Hawaiian style, including a dining area, kitchen, living room and full bathroom. It sleeps a family of three and it’s amenities include a full Koa kitchen, a hand carved Koa dinning room table, CA king size bed, Cable TV, VCR, phone, screened in windows and doors, and a private lanai.

The building itself, which was originally an art and sculpture studio, has been recently fully renovated. A private picturesque Japanese garden with monolithic moss covered stones evokes a feeling of peace and tranquillity, right outside the bedroom patio doors. The beautifully landscaped grounds and lush setting together with the close proximity to beaches, activities, shops and restaurants offer all the elements of a truly memorable vacation.

The cottage is nestled in an authentic, old Hawaiian setting, yet only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants and activities. Shama birds, cardinals, doves and the ubiquitous Hawaiian wild chickens abound adding to the quaint charm of the property. If you are a nature lover and wish to escape from the pressures of the modern world, then our cottage may be exactly what you are looking for. Due to it's secluded nature it has been a perfect location for honeymooners.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage during our visit to Kauai. Having lived in Lihue during the 1980's I could see that many things have changed, but not the level of hospitality & welcome! Everything here at your cottage was perfect for us!

I wanted to thank you for your hospitality and generosity during our stay. I feel lucky to have had a chance to see your beautiful island from a local perspective, and to have made new friends at the same time.

The accommodations were comfortable and you made us feel very welcome. The Anahola area is beautiful and much more laid back then the regular condo areas. We had a warm relaxing vacation.

Thank you for all your hospitality. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. Kauai is a very lovely island. If it weren't for your perfect accommodations the trip wouldn't have been the same. We will recommend you to all our friends and family.
